Happy birthday Rense!! <3

(Bus of Arnold with Lieven, Loes, Nathalie, Pim, Demi and Casper)
Today we didn’t need to get up early, but even though I needed to pull the blankets off of Lisa and slap Lisa and Iris with pillows to get them out of bed.
After my huge breakfast (cornflakes, yoghurt, bread with peanut butter and a little bit of chocolate cake ;o ) we first went to district six in Cape Town. There was a neighbourhood which is totally flattened, for no reason…

The Apartheids museum appeared to be the district six museum, there was a man who had lived there, and he told us his story. We asked if he was angry on the government which did it (probably consistent of all white people…) but he said he had forgiven them. It’s so amazing that some people just forgave us, while some people still didn’t, it’s hard to say which person has forgiven, because most of them are all so friendly. There were street signs all over the museum, from all the demolished streets, there were a lot… Furthermore there were a lot of displays and stories about the district, but it was too much to read it all. So we went on to table mountain, but when we got there we couldn’t go on it because of the though wind, that was a big bummer of the trip! I’ve texted with Rense, got myself a valentine after all :)

After that we went to the Somerset mall, I bought a little glass jar to put sand in for Inge’s mum and of course FOOD but furthermore there wasn’t a lot to do. We had pizza for dinner, and we created quite a nice beat with all of us making another noise, that made Sem’s day. After dinner some played ‘weerwolven van wakkerdam’, but I sat and talked on the other girl’s room with Laura, Quirine and Jeroen. Laura and Quirine also ran around in their pyjamas with blankets like real superwomen, very nice.

Tomorrow safari! It’s getting warmer than today and we can swim, but most of us don’t really feel like swimming…
