Day 5. 10-2-13 Cape point. (table mountain national park)
Yesterday we did some ‘ pimpampet’, toegether with Dave, Emma, Sem, Lisa and Iris, very fun. We could sleep out a bit today. It’s not really warm, but there’s rain coming and we can see lightning. We couldn’t go to tablemountain, the weather was too bad. So today we’re going to Cape point, a nature reserve. It was very beautiful, we saw wild monkeys, zebra’s, ostriches, dassies and a seal. There were also very cool mountains, which most of us climbed. Some of us also did the mountainhike for 45 min, I also joined. It was very pretty, but it was very warm. There we also saw the dassies, which look like very big hamsters, you can compare them to marmotten I think. It was very cool.

On our way back we stopped at a little market next to the road, they’ re so pushy, like ‘ohh come see, you can look, and how are you’ etc., when you’re just looking. They did had nice jewelry and little sculptures, very nice.

After that we went to a place where there were wild pinguins, you could touch them, but of course we didn’t (‘pinguins are wild animals and will bite’). They were supercute (: We also ate there, as dessert I? had a typical South-African malva pudding, I thought it looked more like cake, but ok, it was nice. On the way back home we had a good conversation, with Quirine, Demi and Laura. You can talk about so much things, everyone thrusts each other. In the evening everyone walks around in pyamas or with some underwear and a towel, that’s also nice, that people just walk around like we’re one big family in one big home, it feels good. It’s going to suck going back to our real homes again, separate and such :(

We also drove past slums, and we see people lift a lot, that’ s their transport. People pick up each other for money and food, because they don’t have taxi’s, or don’t have enough money for a taxi. But I think it’s nice, taking strangers, thrust them into your car, with you etc., beautiful! Also we see a lot of wild animals here, mostly donkeys, horses and dogs.
